We're continuing our work to clear honeysuckle, buckthorn, and burning bush from Cherokee Marsh Conservation Park's Mendota Unit. We may burn brush piles if there is enough snow to put the fires out.

About the event

We will be cutting and piling brush. We might burn the brush piles if there is enough snow to put the fires out.   No experience needed. Wear old clothes, sturdy footwear, and work gloves. Loppers are provided, but you're welcome to bring your own. Certified chainsaw operators are welcome —bring your own saw and PPE.


Meet at Meet at Westport Meadows Park, 4338 Beilfuss Drive. This park is west of HWY 113 and adjacent to Cherokee Marsh - Mendota Unit. Park on the street.
