About the event

Tour Cherokee Marsh Conservation Park - North Unit aboard a tractor-pulled hay wagon, enjoy kids' nature activities, take a short guided (or self-guided) hike, participate in a scavenger hunt, or do them all! Plus enjoy free hot cider, a campfire, and marshmallows to roast on the fire. Hayrides are $3/person, children 2 and under are free. No reservations are needed. Visit any time from 1 pm to 3:30 pm. Co-sponsored by Madison Parks and Friends of Cherokee Marsh, with assistance from Madison FUN Friends of Urban Nature.

Cherokee Marsh is the largest wetland in Dane County, Wisconsin. The marsh is located just upstream from Lake Mendota, along the Yahara River and Token Creek.
