About the event

Join naturalist Jeff Steele on this night walk to see and learn about moths and other night-flying insects. We'll walk to several viewing spots to view insects under ultraviolet light. Be prepared for mosquitoes and other flying insects. A flashlight and a headnet may be helpful. Sponsored by the Friends of Cherokee Marsh and Madison Parks. No rain date. Restrooms on site. Follow N. Sherman Ave. north to the main parking lot at the end of the gravel road, where Jeff will greet and orient attendees.

Cherokee Marsh is the largest wetland in Dane County, Wisconsin. The marsh is located just upstream from Lake Mendota, along the Yahara River and Token Creek.
